What does a Doors Replaced project typically involve?

To help us better understand the job, attach clear photos of the existing door or opening, both from the inside and outside.

Next, use our Door Finder tool on the website to explore our full range of options. If you have any specific preferences for hardware (handles, locks, hinges, door jambs etc.), be sure to mention them so we can discuss suitable options with you.

02. Develop Quotation

Once we’ve received all your details, including measurements, photos, and any product or hardware preferences, we’ll carefully review your requirements. Our team will then prepare a comprehensive, itemised quotation tailored to your specific needs.

This quote will include a breakdown of materials, labour, installation timelines, and any optional extras discussed. You’ll receive it by email, and we’re always happy to clarify or adjust anything before moving forward.

03. Project Approval

Once you’ve reviewed and approved the quote, we’ll arrange for one of our experienced installers to conduct a final site visit. This visit allows us to take precise measurements and assess key on-site factors such as access, door openings, and any necessary framing or preparation work.

This step ensures everything is accounted for before we proceed with manufacturing or ordering materials.

After the site visit is completed and all project details are confirmed, we’ll issue an invoice for a 50% deposit, which is required to formally lock in your booking and move forward with the job.

04. Ordering

With your deposit received and final measurements confirmed, we proceed to order or manufacture your selected door.

Standard doors typically have a turnaround of approximately 2 weeks.
Custom-made doors, which require specialised sizing, materials, or design, usually take 6 to 8 weeks to produce.

During this time, we’ll keep you updated on progress and confirm installation scheduling as we approach completion.

05. Door Installation

This is where the magic happens!

Our skilled installers take care of everything, from removing old jambs and creating new openings, to framing, fitting, and adjusting your new door for a perfect fit.

Whether we’re building a new frame or customising your door to suit an existing jamb, hardware installation and cleanup are all part of the job. That includes the removal of your old door and any waste, no mess left behind.

Most installations are completed within half a day to a full day, depending on complexity. And rest assured: you will never be left without a functioning door at the end of the day. We finish what we start.

06. Paint & Finish

Some projects require a little extra love, such as plastering or brickwork, to properly finish the doorway. These services can be arranged as part of the final delivery.

Painting is offered as an additional service and is typically booked for a separate day after installation, allowing time for materials to settle.

We use only premium Dulux enamel paints and Osmo Coat clear finishes to deliver a durable, high-quality result. Every door is carefully sanded between coats to ensure a smooth, professional-grade finish that stands the test of time.
