An entrance transformation changes the opening itself. Wider frames, taller heights, sidelights, pivot conversions, new cladding and hardware. One team handles everything.
Widening Door Openings
Convert a single door to a wider entry, or add sidelight panels. We handle the lintel, framing, and cladding so you don’t need to coordinate a separate builder.
Height Increases
Standard openings sit at 2040mm. We increase to 2340mm or taller to suit oversized and architectural doors. The difference in how the entrance feels is immediate.
Sidelights & Transom Windows
Fixed glass panels beside or above the door. Sidelights bring natural light into the hallway and make narrow entrances feel wider.
Pivot Door Conversions
Replace a hinged door with a concealed pivot system. Pivot doors can run wider and taller than standard hinged entries.
Full Entrance Redesigns
New frame, new door, new architraves, new cladding. Everything from the brickwork in gets replaced.

Common Questions
How wide can you make my front door opening?
It depends on the wall structure above the opening. Most brick veneer homes can be widened to accommodate a door plus one or two sidelights. Up to around 1800mm total opening width. With a new lintel. We assess the structural requirements at the site measure.
Do I need council approval to widen my entrance?
Generally, no. Widening a door opening is typically exempt from planning permits in most Melbourne council areas. It may require a building permit depending on the scope of structural work. We’ll advise during quoting.
How long does an entrance transformation take?
Two to three weeks from order to installed door. The on-site installation is usually completed in a single day for straightforward transformations, or two days for larger structural jobs.
Can you add sidelights to my existing front door?
Yes, if the wall structure allows it. We widen the opening to one side or both, install a new wider frame, and add fixed glass sidelight panels. Feasibility gets confirmed at the site measure.
What’s the difference between this and a front door replacement?
A front door replacement is a like-for-like swap. Same opening size. An entrance transformation changes the opening itself. That means structural work to widen, raise, or reshape the entry before the new door goes in.
